SurfaceInterval contains a sophisticated search engine which allows you quickly
locate individual or multiple dive entries based on several different criteria.
Whenever you are not adding or editing a dive entry, your are in what's considered
to be the browse mode. The Find button is only active in the Browse mode.
Whenever you hit the Find button (or Cmd-F on the keyboard), you are presented
with the following drop-down window:
|

From this panel you select which type of search you wish to perform. The available search types are:
Whenever you click the OK button, SurfaceInterval will begin searching forward from the currently selected dive entry. If a match occurs, the matching entry will be selected in the dive list, and the Main Window will reflect that entry's dive information. In addition to selecting and displaying the found dive entry, SurfaceInterval will also switch the active Tab as appropriate for the last search criteria. For example, if you perform a Text search, and SurfaceInterval finds the entered text in the Remarks section of a dive, SurfaceInterval will display that dive and automatically set the Remarks tab to be the active tab. Once a search has been performed, hitting Cmd-G on the keyboard will search for the next dive containing the search criteria entered in the last search. That criteria will remain active until the session ends, or until a new find is initiated either via a Cmd-F or by the user hitting the Find button
Note that searches will automatically wrap around to the beginning once the end of the dive list has been reached.
