SurfaceInterval is not free. It can be purchased by selecting the "Purchase..." item in the SurfaceInterval menu. Contact sales@dancethetide.com for information on club or OEM licensing. Until you have registered SurfaceInterval, you won't be able to take advantage of all of its features. Limitations in the unregistered version include:
1) You can only save or load a log file named "demo.log"
2) You are limited to 25 dive entries.
3) You'll get nagged every time you run SurfaceInterval with one of those annoying timeout boxes.
SurfaceInterval does not support screen resolutions below 800 x 600. 640 x 480 is not supported
SurfaceInterval does not calculate decompression data. You should plan your dives using the skills you learned during your certification course. Besides... The insurance companies are rich enough!
SurfaceInterval does not compensate for time zone. If you go on a dive trip to Australia, and then go home to the United States and download your dives, the dive start time and potentially the date will be incorrect.
It is suggested that you first set your Time Zone in the Date & Time control panel to that of the dive location prior to downloading dives from a logging device. This will insure that the downloaded
dive times reflect the dive site specific local time.
