The moon data is calculated automatically based on the dive start time and date. It contains lunar information such as the current phase of the moon as well as additional astro-nerd data which I couldn't begin to explain (nor fully understand). You will also notice an image associated with the current phase of the moon. Diving lore is rich in tales of how the phase of the moon affects sealife. You might find this data useful in planning your night dives, especially if you are an underwater photographer. If not, well, ain't it cool anyways? There are no user enabled controls on this panel (other than the scoll bar). It is for informational purposes only.
