SurfaceInterval Strict Validity Checking

Each dive training organization (PADI, NAUI, etc.) has its own ideas about what constitutes a "valid" dive. The standards are defined to prevent Swimming-Pool-Polly from claiming she has 5000 dives when she's never been out of her own back yard. SurfaceInterval allows you to define the parameters which constitute a valid dive, and provides an additional level of "nag" should an entered dive fall outside of those parameters.

Strict Validity Checking

This checkbox tells SurfaceInterval to observe the given rules when deciding whether to remind the user as to what parameters constitute a valid dive. Whenever an attempt is made to add a dive which falls outside of the given parameters, SurfaceInterval will display a confirmation dialog asking you to confirm that you wish to save the "invalid" dive anyways. You can of course choose to save the dive, but the dive will not be included in any subsequent statistics reporting. More additional information on statistics reporting can be found here.
