When you select this menu item SurfaceInterval checks the web for a newer version of itself.
Naturally an active internet connection is required. Should it find a newer version, you are presented
with a drop-down window similar to the following. (don't read anything into the versions. I made them up for illustration purposes)
As indicated in the prompt, Clicking the Download button will quit SurfaceInterval (after saving any edits)
and will launch your default browser to begin the download. Once the download completes, simply replace your current
application with the newer one. Don't worry. Your registration Info, preferences, log entries, and custom menu items will
transfer to the new version.
It is expected that minor updates or so-called "dot releases" will remain free of charge and will
function with your previously purchased registration code. In the event we release a major update
including new gee-golly-willikers features, we will provide upgrade instructions via the email address
you provided during registration. This is all a polite way of saying we resurve the right to charge for
major upgrades providing substantial new functionality.
